FREE External Resources That We Love!

Powerful Teaching

Authors of Powerful Teaching, Pooja K. Agarwal, Ph.D. and Patrice M. Bain, Ed.S, have a website with free resources that are in a printable format and ready for use in your lessons. One of our favorites is the Four Steps of Metacognition that we have seen teachers use as both pre and post assessments of what students think they know vs. what they actually do know.

Education.com

This site has a treasure trove of free printable worksheets, focused on grades k-8. What we love about it is it also has lesson plans, worksheet generators, EL Supports, Emergency Sub Plans, and many more resources to explore. You can take a peek at things without joining, but to download a resource you will need to sign up for their free account.

IXL | Skill Plans

IXL is well-known to many elementary teachers. What is not as well known is that the website offers Weekly Boosts for a variety of subject matters and grade levels, including high school Calculus. What's a Weekly Boost, you ask? Basically, IXL has created skill plans that provide "structure and pacing" for students to help them stay on track with their learning.
